What Is CPCT Exam?

CPCT is a computer proficiency exam known as “कंप्यूटर प्रवीणता और प्रमाणन परीक्षण” in Hindi. In English, it is referred to as the Computer Proficiency & Certification Test, abbreviated as CPCT. This exam is conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (MAP_IT), an autonomous society under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The main objective of the CPCT exam is to assess candidates’ basic computer skills and typing proficiency for various vacancies in government departments. This helps in developing candidates’ computer abilities so that they can acquire suitable proficiency for computer-related tasks in different government departments, corporations, boards, and other agencies.

Eligibility Criteria For MP CPCT

The current era is defined by technology. Nowadays, computers are used in almost every important task. In the past, many tasks required different resources, which took a lot of time and money. However, in today’s digital world,

computers can complete these tasks quickly. Data no longer needs to be moved from one place to another; it can be accessed from anywhere. This has made many important tasks much simpler. With this goal in mind, the government is promoting computer education under the Digital India initiative.

MP CPCT Qualification & Age Limit

To apply for CPCT, you need to meet certain minimum educational requirements:

  • Candidates should have passed 10th grade or Higher Secondary or Polytechnic Diploma.
  • Also, the candidate must be at least 18 years old as of the registration date.

MP CPCT Exam Fees

To apply for CPCT, candidates will need to pay a fee of ₹660. This fee can be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Alternatively, the offline cash payment can be made through MP Online kiosks.

MP CPCT Exam Format

The CPCT exam is conducted in two parts. The first part consists of multiple-choice questions related to various subjects like computer, internet, general knowledge, mathematics, and reasoning.

The second part involves typing in Hindi or English. When applicants apply online, they take a typing test in their preferred language. Those who choose Hindi take the typing test in Hindi, and those who choose English take it in English.
