In this exam, different educational qualifications have been specified for becoming teachers in various classes such as primary and elementary. Information about the educational qualifications for CTET 2024 is as follows –

Class I-V (Primary Stage) – CTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

  • Candidates must pass Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR be in the final year of such a program. Alternatively, candidates must pass Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per NCTE Regulations, 2002, or be in the final year of such a program.
  • Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and completed a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or be in the final year of such a program.
  • Alternatively, candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and completed a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), or be in the final year of such a program.
  • Or, candidates must have at least 50% marks in graduation and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree

Class VI-VIII (Primary Stage)

  • Passed Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (known by any name) or in the final year. Or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Or
  • Graduation with minimum 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in accordance with the ongoing NCTE regulations. Or
  • Passed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or in the final year. Or
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and in the final year of 4-year B.A / B.Sc.Ed or B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed program. Or
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Validity of CTET Certificate

The validity period of the CTET eligibility certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of results for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts made by an individual to obtain the CTET certificate. A person who has passed the CTET can also reappear to improve their score.

What is the Validity Period of CTET Certificate?
